What will you be doing?

As the first in-house legal counsel, you will work closely with external advisors in bridging the gap between outsourced legal work and its move in-house.

 This won’t happen overnight, and you will have access to external counsel, but you will use your strong project management skills in transitioning from outsourced to in-house and your research and problem-solving skills in bridging the knowledge gap.

You will focus on the drafting and review of contracts, agreements, and legal briefs and make business recommendations related to legal matters, such as regulatory and licensing requirements in different jurisdictions, beyond Europe, such as the US and African markets.

What is your professional background?

  • Minimum 3 years experience in drafting legal contracts & agreements ( whether in-house or practice side ) 
  • Minimum 1-year hands-on exposure to legal matters within the European markets food industry (either in-house or practice side related to food regulations)
  • Master’s degree or Equivalent in Law
  • Full professional English proficiency: including practical experience in drafting contracts & agreements in English 

Package: 45,000-55,000Euros annual, gross salary (subject to experience and qualification ) + private healthcare + training & professional development support + parking

Type: Full-time, indefinite  role based in Smart City, Malta, with strong professional development prospects
